Week one of the Academy brought with it a visit from the man, the myth, the legend, Gary Kelley. Gary was a true gentleman, and shared so much great information with us. He assigned us a super vague topic "Blue" for our weekly assignment. It was so much fun to watch Gary's demo and presentation of his work. He is such a smart person and really challenged me to push myself to be much more aware of art history. You can see Gary's work in every Barnes and Noble bookstore as he is responsible for the murals displayed in all the stores nationwide.
